VDMA - German Mining Association 
 
The Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) is located in Frankfurt, as a private non-profit organisation. VDMA offers 100 years of experience in the machinery, plant manufacturing industry and the information technology sector. The Engineering Federation has over 3.000 members divided into 39 specific branch Associations and is the largest network of the engineering industry in Europe. The mainly small and medium sized enterprises reach an annual production value of € 195 billion and employ 990,000 people (2013).

The Mining Equipment Association is part of VDMA and has about 110 member companies. Our branch achieves a total production of 3,4 billion Euro in 2007, employs some 16.000 people and is active throughout the world. The industry's share of exports is close to 86 percent. VDMA headquarters is located in Frankfurt/Germany with offices in Brussels, Beijing, Kolkata, Moscow and Tokyo.
